The Appearance of an All-Iranian Competent Company
BORNAA Consulting Engineers (later named as Nargan) was established to provide consulting engineering services for oil, gas and petrochemical projects.
Development of Sirri Offshore Oil Fields
Among BORNAA’s first projects was the engineering design of surface facilities for Sirri Offshore Oil Field in the Persian Gulf.
Renascence
To comply with new regulations, BORNAA was reorganized and began operating under the name of Nargan Consulting Engineers Company.
First Experience in Chemical Fertilizer Plants
Engineering, procurement, supervision and commissioning of a 250,000 TPA Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) Plant in Razi Petrochemical Complex (Mahshahr).
Nargan’s 10th Anniversary & KANGAN
After 10 years, Nargan delivered the biggest gas treatment plant in Iran — KANGAN (125 MMNCMD) — as engineering design & construction management.
Sarkhun II Natural Gas Project
Engineering design, procurement and supervision for production from Sarkhun II gas reservoir including wellhead facilities, gathering lines and treatment plant.
Pesticides Production Plant
Engineering, procurement and supervision for a complete pesticides production plant in Ghazvin province.
Becoming an EPC Contractor
Beyond engineering consultancy, Nargan expanded to procurement and construction. Name changed to Nargan Engineers & Constructors.
Bandar Abbas Oil Refinery (8th Refinery)
Detail engineering and construction supervision for Kerosene Hydrotreating, LPG Splitter and Amine Treating Units.
20th Anniversary & Pipeline Milestone
Over 4,000 km of pipeline projects with stations and terminals delivered as one of the greatest achievements by this stage.
Polynar Polypropylene (PP) Plant
Delivered a second-hand PP unit (Hoechst AG license), re-designed extrusion/feedstock/utilities/buildings, re-assembled at a new site next to Tabriz PC.
Iran’s Biggest Ethane Recovery & Fractionation
Engineering & procurement for a 77 MMSCMD ethane recovery and fractionation plant in 9th Olefin Complex, Assaluyeh.
One of the Largest Cracking Plants (10th Olefin)
Engineering & procurement for 1,321,000 TPA Ethylene & 305,000 TPA Propylene. Largest ethylene output at the time; dual-feed steam cracker.
30th Anniversary – Leadership in Ethylene Engineering
Leader in engineering >75% of Iran’s ethylene capacity; ISO in Quality & HSE across Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals.
South Pars 12 Gas Development (EPC3)
EPC for Iran’s largest industrial project at the time: 81 MMSCMD treated gas, 120,000 BPSD condensate, 750 TPD sulfur.
Experiences in Non-Olefin Polymers & Artificial Rubbers
Engineering & procurement for ABS, ESBR and related rubber plants (Jam Petrochemical & Sadaf Chemical).
40th Anniversary – Polyolefins Leadership
Leader in >45% of Iran’s PP & PE capacity; renowned for EPC & commissioning of 6 crude refineries and 8 South Pars phases.
First Experience in Integrated Petrochemical Plants
Engineering & procurement of 300,000 TPA Ammonia and 1,000,000 TPA Methanol integrated plants in Assaluyeh.
Nargan Amitis Energy Development (NAED)
Upstream subsidiary registered; leveraging Nargan resources to deliver subsurface/surface engineering consultancy.
DATAAL Group – University–Industry Collaboration
A collaboration between Nargan and Sharif University.
